Eleen's fashion illustrations encapsulate the demeanour of socialites and fashion icons in a frenzied runway show, gleaming with bright lights. So glamorous and très chic — overwhelmed in a vibrant imaginary world with feminine brush strokes, gradient watercolour finishing and poised human silhouettes.
Meet Penang-born Eleen Tan, an Art Lecturer who does Fashion Illustration for well-known fashion names in Malaysia.

Eleen Tan, Fashion Illustrator
Eleen Tan is no stranger in Malaysian fashion industry. Started illustrating beautiful fashion imageries in 2010, Eleen is one of the fortunate ones who can turn something she loved much since she was a kid into a professional career today.
In the beginning of the career once she obtained her Diploma in Illustration from The One Academy of Communication Design with Full Scholarship Award from The Star Education Fund, she started to contribute regularly to some of the biggest fashion magazines in town such as Female, Marie Claire, HerWorld, Cleo, Sisters, Nuyou, The Peak etc. In recent years, she started doing live drawing for fashion and beauty brands as part of the event activities during grand opening, special launching, VIP, promotional and marketing events.
Her clients include Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Bvlgari, Burberry, Jimmy Choo, Moschino, Tory Burch, Salvatore Ferragamo, Anya Hindmarch, Sisley, Shiseido, La Prairie, to just name a few. Eleen also constantly collaborates with fashion designers including Cassey Gan, Bremen Wong, Ambersze London and Yoke & Theam for their fashion illustration projects.
Eleen Tan is also an Educator
When she doesn’t draw, she teaches. In order to pursue her passion for education, Eleen obtained her MA in Visual Communication after her completion of BA (Hons) in Visual Communication with flying colours, both majoring in Fashion Illustration from Birmingham City University.
Upon returning from the UK, Eleen started lecturing at The One Academy of Communication Design for a few years and after that she went to lecture at First City University College, where she was also the Programme Coordinator for their newly launched BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing programme. Currently, Eleen is an Art Lecturer, specialising in Illustration at local college and university. Not to mention that she is also one of the contributors for “Fashion Sketching : A Complete Guidebook for Beginners”, published in 2018 by SendPoints Publishing Ltd. a Hong Kong based publisher.
By working closely with multiple top luxury fashion and beauty brands, Eleen constantly develop new knowledge where she could strengthen her management working with clients and hone her skills as a professional fashion and lifestyle illustrator. As an educator, all these new skills and experiences she garnered from working in the industry are some of the most valuable knowledge she could share with the students in the classrooms especially on the current industrial trends and how the art and design industry works.
