Eleen's fashion illustrations encapsulate the demeanor of socialites and fashion icons in a frenzied runway show,
gleaming under bright lights. Glamorous and très chic, they immerse viewers in a vibrant imaginary world,
brought to life with feminine brush strokes, gradient watercolour finishes, and poised human silhouettes.
Meet Penang-born Eleen Tan, an Art Educator and Fashion Illustrator whose work has been featured in VOGUE

Eleen Tan, Fashion Illustrator
Eleen Tan is no stranger in Malaysian Fashion Illustration Industry. Since 2010, she has been illustrating beautiful fashion imagery, turning a childhood passion into a successful professional career.

After obtaining her Diploma in Illustration from The One Academy of Communication Design with a Full Scholarship Award from The Star Education Fund, Eleen began contributing regularly to some of Malaysia's top fashion magazines, including Female, Marie Claire, HerWorld, Cleo, Sisters, Nuyou, and The Peak.

In recent years, she has expanded her repertoire to include live drawing for fashion and beauty brands at events such as grand openings, special launches, VIP gatherings, and promotional and marketing events. Her impressive client list includes Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and Roger Vivier, to name just a few. Eleen also collaborates with fashion designers such as Cassey Gan, Bremen Wong, Ambersze London, and Yoke & Theam on fashion illustration projects.
Eleen Tan, as an Educator
When she's not drawing, Eleen is teaching. To pursue her passion for education, she earned her MA in Visual Communication after completing her BA (Hons) in Visual Communication, both with a focus on Fashion Illustration from Birmingham City University, graduating with flying colours. Upon returning to Malaysia, Eleen began lecturing at The One Academy of Communication Design, followed by a role at First City University College, where she also served as the Programme Coordinator for their newly launched BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing programme. Currently, she is an Art Lecturer specializing in Illustration at a local college and university.
In addition to her teaching, Eleen contributed to the book Fashion Sketching: A Complete Guidebook for Beginners, published in 2018 by SendPoints Publishing Ltd., a Hong Kong-based publisher.
By working closely with top luxury fashion and beauty brands, Eleen continuously develops new knowledge, enhancing her client management skills and honing her craft as a professional fashion and lifestyle illustrator. As an educator, she brings these valuable industry insights and experiences into the classroom, particularly in areas like current industrial trends and the workings of the art and design industry.
